Upon arrival, I began by inspecting the HVAC system to determine the appropriate filter sizes. During this process, I also checked the condition of the belts. I discovered that one of the belts was showing signs of wear and impending failure. Additionally, the filters were found to be excessively dirty, which was causing the system to operate at high limits and eventually shut down. I promptly removed the old, dirty filters and sent an estimate to the client for replacing the filters and the faulty belt. This proactive approach ensures the system will operate efficiently and prolongs its lifespan.
