I came home after work at 6pm to a house that was 85 degrees. It was one of the hottest days/nights of the year. My AC unit is only 6 years old so I had no idea what to do or who to contact for service. I found Dor Mar’s contact info online and was shocked that I was able to talk to a live person AND they were able to schedule service that same night! I was called to a home to repair a water heater. Upon arrival, I found that the water heater was not producing any hot water. I checked the power supply and found that the circuit breaker had tripped. I reset the breaker and checked the wiring. I found that the wires to the condensation pump were not properly hooked together. I hooked the wires together in conversation and the pump started to work. It was filling up with water, which was causing the float switch in the drain pan to drip. I checked the drain pan and found that the water was draining properly. I then checked the thermostat and found that it was working properly. I tested the heating elements and found that they were working properly. I then tested the pressure relief valve and found that it was working properly. I tested the temperature and pressure relief valve and found that they were working properly. I arrived at a client's home to find that their air conditioner was not cooling. Upon inspection, I discovered that the capacitor had failed. The client wanted to replace the capacitor and have the unit repaired. I replaced the capacitor and the unit fired up and cooled the home well.
I was tasked with installing a power vent hot water tank in a residential home. The tank was installed in the basement and connected to the existing water supply and drainage systems. Additionally, we examined the electrical components of the condenser for any signs of burnt or loose wires and verified the microfarad readings on the capacitor. Finally, we confirmed that the refrigerant pressures were within the correct range to guarantee optimal system performance. Customer had concern about mini split leaking water down the wall. Reverse polarity on transformer.. once getting power to thermostat, no call for cooling. Replaced thermostat unit up & running
