I am a home service technician, and I recently completed an AC maintenance job for a client. The unit was running well, with no issues, and the Freon levels were within the correct range. The electrical components were tested, and the system was thoroughly cleaned. I also checked the air filter and replaced it if necessary. The client was very satisfied with the job, and I was happy to provide them with a reliable and efficient AC system.
I was called to a home to repair a broken air conditioner. Upon arrival, I found that the unit was completely frozen over. I called the technician who installed the system and found out that this has been an ongoing issue for the client. The technician informed me that the unit's control board, transformer, and blower motor had all been fried due to the coil freezing over. After discussing the repair options with the client, they decided not to move forward with either option.
I called a client to discuss the details of the work I completed. I gave him a detailed explanation of the work and the cost. He was very pleased with the work and will call me back personally to discuss further steps.
I worked on a job where the client wanted to discuss concerns with their ductwork, sweating onto the radon cancellation area. We discussed different measures we could take, such as adding insulation and a dehumidifier to the crawlspace. The client also inquired about installing UV lights in both the return and supply side of the air handler. The client will get back to us when they are finished with their son's appointment.
Filled with 410a to get temporary cooling, they have a leak and would be better to replace full system
During the recent maintenance visit, we conducted a thorough evaluation of the air conditioning system. We initiated the session by inquiring about any specific concerns the customer might have had. The condition of the furnace filter and evaporator coil was assessed, and we recorded the blower amp draw. We also ensured proper airflow by inspecting the cleanliness of the condenser coil outside. Additionally, we examined the electrical components of the condenser for any signs of burnt or loose wires and verified the microfarad readings on the capacitor. Finally, we confirmed that the refrigerant pressures were within the correct range to guarantee optimal system performance.
