I went through the system and cleaned the drain pan and drain trap again. Inside the unit was damp, but no standing water like before. The system was dry all around and nothing was leaking. There was water in the area where the condenser coil is because the lines are not insulated. I poured bottles of water into the drain pan and let it drain. The drain pan did not overflow. The system is cooling correctly.

I was called to a home to inspect a clogged drain. The customer claimed that the drain was not the problem, but I could see that the water was not draining properly. I ran the system to make sure it was draining correctly and checked the pressures, which were good. I also noticed that the system was oversized for the home, which was causing the drain to clog. I replaced the system with a 2 1/2 ton unit, which should be sufficient for the 1,000 square foot home. I also noticed that there was water in the ducts, but there was no water in the ducts. I took pictures to show the customer.
