I was called to a home to check on a system that was not cooling. Upon arrival, I found that the system's capacitor had gone bad. I replaced the capacitor and verified that the system was safe to operate. I checked the amp draws to ensure that no motors were overheating. I also checked the heat exchanger and made sure that the temperature split was correct. Finally, I checked the air filter to ensure that it was clean and in good condition. The client was very friendly and satisfied with the service.
I arrived at the client's home to find a compressor that would intermittently kick off and turn back on. The condenser fan motor was actively overheating, and the wood lock-up was causing the compressor to overheat. The clients were discussing what to do, as they were possibly selling their property soon.

Customer stated unit wasn’t cooling and froze up. Checked unit and found system to be low on r22. Siam r system was from 1997 and unit ran on r22 talked with customer and decided a replacement would be best option. Customer signed estimate to replace furnace and ac. Customer got approved by greensky. Let customer know we would try to make it out tomorrow to get unit swapped out to work with us but we would at least get prep work done tomorrow. Also mentioned we could bring portable ac if system doesn’t get installed tomorrow.
Compressor is Inefficienct. Customer reaching out to LG. part is under warranty
Not draining. Voltage on pump, took pump apart and cleared. Still seized after. Needs new pump. Controls are not letting me go into test and diagnose mode, could be locked out from pressure switch issue. Will not know until new pump is installed, may have more issues OBK430
Thermostat wires had a neck in it traps down the issue fixed. The issue. System is working properly.
I scheduled a service call for the customer's non-working thermostat.
