Inspected 21-year-old water softener system due to operational failure where salt was remaining in the brine tank with no water present. Diagnostic testing revealed the control head was not cycling properly and water hardness measured at 22 grains. Recommended full system replacement as optimal solution, but customer opted for repair of control head. Advised customer that resin bed is likely compromised and may not produce adequately softened water even with new control head. Parts will be sourced from Robert Hill.
