Responded to no-heat service call for 10+ year old furnace that was cycling on but shutting down after approximately 30 seconds. Diagnostic inspection revealed faulty ignitor preventing proper combustion. Visual inspection of heat exchanger showed no visible cracks or concerning issues. Replaced ignitor with customer's approval, then performed system test cycle to verify proper operation. Unit now functioning correctly with normal heat production.
