Diagnosed and repaired a 35-year-old Ruud furnace that was intermittently heating and shutting down prematurely. Identified malfunctioning pressure switch that was consistently clicking and opening above its setpoint as the root cause of system failure. Replaced pressure switch with new component having correct specifications, which restored reliable operation and proper heating cycle completion. System tested and verified operational.
