Upon inspection, the POF (Proof of Functionality) limit switch was identified as the root cause of the thermostat malfunction. I began by safely disconnecting the power supply to ensure no electrical hazards. The old thermostat was carefully removed, and I meticulously documented its wiring configuration for accurate reattachment. I then installed the new thermostat, ensuring all connections were secure and correctly aligned. After reattaching the wiring, I restored power and conducted a thorough test to confirm the new thermostat was functioning properly. The system responded as expected, and the issue was successfully resolved.
