I was dispatched to a residential home for a no cool call. Upon arrival, I found that the capacitor had gone bad, preventing the fan motor from turning on. I replaced the capacitor and found a 12-degree temperature split. I filled up on refrigerant and achieved the correct superheat and temperature split. I also checked the air filter and found it to be very dirty, so I replaced it. I also checked the blower wheel and found it to be very dirty, so I cleaned it. I also checked the condensate drain and found it to be clogged, so I cleared it. I also checked the thermostat and found it to be working properly.
