Upon inspection, it was determined that the dishwasher's bottom spray arm had suffered significant damage, causing it to malfunction. The spray arm was found to be melted, resulting in an improper water distribution pattern. This issue led to water being directed straight at the gasket, causing it to deteriorate and ultimately leak. As a result, the dishwasher was unable to function correctly. I informed the customer of the situation and recommended that they order a replacement spray arm. The customer decided to replace the spray arm themselves, and I ensured they understood the importance of proper installation to prevent future issues.
