Upon inspecting the boiler, I identified several critical issues. Firstly, the system is non-compliant with current codes due to the distance between the regulator and the boiler, as well as problems with the condensation drain and gas sizing. I advised the client to contact the previous installer to address these compliance issues. Additionally, I discovered failed rings in the heat exchanger, which caused water to accumulate in the cabinet. Given the current weather conditions, this issue is a priority. I explained that the failed rings need immediate attention to prevent further damage and ensure the system operates safely and efficiently.
