I was called to a home to check on an air conditioner that was not working. Upon arrival, I found that the air conditioner was working fine. The superheat, temperature split, and fan speed were all within normal ranges. However, the air coming from some vents was not as cool as it should be. I checked the thermostat and found that it was not set to the correct temperature. I adjusted the temperature and tested the air again. The air was now coming out at the correct temperature. I also noticed that the air conditioner was not cycling on and off as it should. I checked the thermostat and found that the schedule was set to turn the air conditioner off at a specific time of day. I reset the schedule and told the homeowner to call back if the issue persisted. I could not get ahold of the homeowner, so I left a message for them to call me back.
