Completed a furnace service call, upon arrival client took us to the thermostat and went to turn on system to show us what he’s been hearing, system would start a loud buzzing noise, and then shut off. Went downstairs and found inducer motor on lockout due to seizing of bearings from overheating. After recognizing that inducer motor failed, we took a deeper dive into the system to ensure no additional failures had happened due to furnace overheating, we found cracks in your heat exchanger, indicating a necessity for replacement. After discussing options, client wanted to know prices of new furnace and opted for a full modulation furnace with UV filtration on 12/29/25
