I was called to inspect an air conditioner that was not performing properly. The inspection report indicated that there was a 5° temperature split, and our accurate readings showed that the upstairs was 18° and the downstairs was 20°. The inspection report also mentioned that the system was experiencing flame rollout, which was accurate. I performed a heat exchanger inspection and found damage to the unit. The upstairs furnace will need to be replaced. I am currently working on an old republic claim to cover the cost of the repairs.
