I am a home service technician, and I recently completed a job at a client's home. Upon inspection, I noticed that the venting system was leaking onto the water heater, causing corrosion. The water heater itself was also compromised, but this was further exacerbated by the leaking venting system. I provided an estimate for a replacement water heater and discussed the possibility of reventing the system with the landlord. The client was interested in reventing the system, so I will be contacting the HVAC company to schedule an appointment.
