water was leaking from the flue pipe, which was causing carbon monoxide to enter the home. A thorough examination revealed multiple holes in the flue pipe, compromising its integrity. Given the unit's age, condition, and the extent of the water damage, we recommended a replacement. We red-tagged the unit and informed the customer of this necessity. They agreed and signed an estimate for a high-efficiency furnace installation, scheduled for the next afternoon. To prevent potential freezing, we left two heaters with the customer. We will return once it is safe to access the roof and determine the root cause of the water leak.
