Upon inspection, the heating system installed a year ago was not functioning. Initially, a faulty thermostat was identified, but further examination revealed an improperly angled flue pipe, leading to condensation buildup in the furnace. This condensation had caused the heat exchanger to rust severely. I informed the customer of the necessary replacement of the furnace with a high-efficiency model and ensured proper flue venting. An estimate for the replacement has been emailed to the customer.
