Master bath tub was draining poorly due Slinky P-trap being broken and causing it a leak into the basement utility room. I noticed that the pipe size for the bathtub was under size at 1 1/2 and needed to be upsized to 2 inch. Pipe was also not level properly so we cut out the old section of pipe install brand new 2 inch pipe and leveled it properly with new P-trap. We bored a new hole in the center of the tub drain because the original hole was off centered and was causing the pipe at the bottom to be crooked, but with the new hole, we ran hard pipe straight down with the new flange installed resealed the tub strainer with putty pipe and silicone, filled it up with water, tested everything checked for leaks and left bathtub full of water due to silicone and to wait 24 hours for it to dry.
