Upon arrival customer stated that home is for sale and that when they had the inspection done the inspector mentioned that the heat was not working. At that time customer stated that gas was not turned on to the home and that they did have it turned back on. Did full evaluation of both heat and ac unit which are 18 years old. Checked over all operations in attic at gas furnace, prior to turning the system on found that heat was not coming on due to air being in gas line, bled line, gas came through and was able to test system restarted system and everything came on. When unit starts up in heat mode the inducer draft motor is very loud and pulling high amps. Flame sensor is dirty and needs to be cleaned. Blower wheel is very dirty and blower motor capacitor is testing bad. Changed (16x25x1) system filter. All duct work and supply/return plenum were in good shape. Heat does come on and work. Whole House Lightning Check-up in Standard Size Home. Includes a visual inspection of all major electrical fixtures, devices, and detailed panel inspection. Includes voltage and amperage check of circuits at electrical panel. Does not include plug-in electronics not affixed to the house. Does not include megohmmeter testing. FINDINGS: must do lightning inspection to fully check house. -for this inspection we checked and tested the main components of the electrical system such as the meter, disconnect and panel, testing voltage on all breakers and lugs. During this process we found there to be no whole house surge protector which is required by the National Electrical Code. Also there is no ground wire going to the water line from the main breaker outside of the home, which is something that is required by the National Electrical Code. The water line must be bonded to the first point of disconnect. During that process we will bond the hot and cold water lines at the water heater as requ
This estimate is to remove the existing box and move it to a line at the center of the table. After removing the old box and line, we will install a new 4 inch box that will be rated to have a medium to large chandelier. In addition, this also includes running a new receptacle off of the existing receptacle in the bathroom upstairs for a soon to be installed bidet. After approval of the work to be done, I went to grab necessary material from the local supply house. They did not have the necessary breakers so I ordered them from our warehouse. After returning, I started work in the dining room area by removing the existing box. After removing and inspecting with a camera, I found that there would need to be sheet rock damage to finish the estimate as described to the customer previously. After agreeing, I covered all of the working area in plastic sheeting. I continued by cutting the necessary sheet rock, then drilling holes into the wood so that the wire could be routed appropriately.
