Outstanding Service AND Employee

Again, another outstanding employee of TECertified came to my rescue😁. Dani quickly found what he felt was causing the leak at my handheld shower head - it wasn’t a washer issue or a faulty shower head - but the cartridge on the on-off handle that was damaged. But he also gave me a quote on replacing the cartridge -cheapest fix - or the entire faucet kit - much more expensive - just in cause the leak returned. At one point we thought the entire faucet kit was going to be needed, but Dani worked tirelessly & finally got the leak stopped - saving me a lot of money. I’ve watched TEC grown from when they serviced only electrical issues, to now being a full service company, also providing HVAC & plumbing services & installation. That growth could not have happened without TEC’s attention to the excellent service they & their employees provide to their customers - from the ladies making our appointments to the technicians who are the best in the business!

Evaporator coils are clean, smell is most likely caused by growth on the duct board plenums. Was able to show homeowner where the growth was and explained proper treatments to handle this. Quoted I wave whole home, ionizer systems and UV bulbs to help sanitize the immediate area. The smells will persist until we can sanitize and kill any growth in the immediate area and with an I-wave to help neutralize growth inside the house where it will then enter the AC system and grow again. Customer declined Home Care today, offered to include today’s visit with Home Care plan. Will also receive additional discount to remedy indoor air quality as a home care member.

Upon arrival, I was pointed to the thermal expansion tank at the water heater in the garage. The thermal expansion tank had failed and rusted out and was spraying water. After providing options and upon approval, we replaced the thermal expansion tank and the pressure regulator. We installed the thermal expansion tank and securely mounted it to the structure of the home. After restoring water to the home and drying the water heater off, we attempted to relight the water heater. The water heater was throwing an error code, indicating that the flame vapor sensor had a fault. Out of the three options on the instruction manual for that error code. The obvious issue was that the flame vapor sensor got wet. We are leaving estimates for replacement of the flame vapor sensor as well as replacement of the water heater if it comes to that. The customer has ordered two different flame vapor sensors and I will be contacting supply houses tomorrow in the hopes of locating and purchasing the flam

Arrived on site and customer wanted for bathroom faucet replaced. I went ahead and replaced all four bathroom faucets, not including any angle stops or supply lines. Customer often to keep the existing supply lines and only replace the bathroom faucet. Once all faucets were put together I went ahead and ran water at each sink individually for about 5 to 10 minutes to ensure no issues. Customer also wanted me to take a look at the shower cartridge, master shower. Because is dripping. I will have to order a cartridge and return when cartridge arrives.

Today we came out to address a leaking shower valve. Upon inspection, the shower cartridge was found to be worn due to age and was replaced to resolve the leak. During the visit, the home water pressure was tested and found to be at 55 psi, which is within the proper operating range. No issue with water pressure were observed. While on site, I also evaluated the home 50 gallon gas water heater, which was located on the second floor and found to be approximately 12 years old. I advised the homeowner that the unit had reached the end of his typical life expectancy and was at increased risk of failure due to age. After discuss discussing the findings and available options, the homeowner elected to move forward with replacing the 50 gallon gas water heater along with installing a new expansion tank properly secure to the structure of the home. All work was completed, inspected, and test tested, and the system is operating properly at this time.
