Includes voltage and amperage check of circuits at electrical panel. Does not include plug-in electronics not affixed to the house. Does not include megohmmeter testing. FINDINGS: During our thorough lightning inspection we found burnt outlet, many code violations in the panel and throughout home. which was mixed breakers, Flying taps, double tap and triple tapped neutrals, no surge protection at panel, many areas are not GFCI protected, which by code it should be. Estimate for whole home surge protectors, two panels, main and sub. Sub panel was run on unprotected thhn wire, no gfci or afci protection on any new circuits, panel looks to have been installed without permits, wouldn’t have passed inspection. Re ran Service wire, added listed lugs and protective covers, added all new dual function breakers to all sub panel 120v circuits, added whole home surge protectors to both panels

Homeowner had us out today because they are having issues with both units inside of the home. Upon arrival we noticed that there two systems in the home both furnaces are 25 years old. The main floor system is completely from 2000 and the second floor has an evaporator and outdoor unit that is from 2013. The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system. Cap is bad. Contactor is bad. Compressor is over amping on start up and while running. Sub par flood protection. Drain line needs to be cleaned. Blower is dirty. No insulation on low side line outside. Cap was replaced to get system up in the meantime time until replacement can be done.

Shut off water to the home and drained the water system. In the basement, I removed the pressure regulator valve and the shut off valves for the hose bibs. I replaced the prv, main shut off valve and the hose bibs shut off valves. Turned on the water and pressurized the system to test. No leaks detected. Outside, I dug down at the marked area to find the water service line. I uncovered the line and saw two pinholes spraying water. I shut off the water and cut out the damaged section of water pipe. I replaced that section with polyethylene pipe. Turned on the water and pressurized the system. No further leaks detected. I opened the hose bib to remove as much air as possible. When you open the faucets in the home you may get some air or brown water. Please allow a few seconds to clear then normal water pressure will resume.
