The reason for the appointment today was for the downstairs system not cooling. Upon inspection found gas, furnace, and AC coil from 2006. Also upon inspection found gas company had already shut system down due to improper sediment trap. Upon system inspection found that the outdoor contactor is bad, the outdoor capacitor is bad, causing compressor not to start up, also upon testing compressor, compressor test weak. Upon inspection of the inside system found that the furnace control board is throwing code for which indicates for high high limit open. Upon testing all limits, which is found no limits open. The control board is stuck throwing the code. System also has bad indoor capacitor for blower motor, blower wheel has large amount to build up. Indoor coil also has buildup. System has no wet switch That is TE standard. Also perform brief inspection over upstairs system upstairs system is also from 2006 gas furnace. System only has a 16° delta T(Delta t is the temperature split from

The homeowner had us out today for a no cool service call. Upon inspection forth that the outdoor system was very low on 410a refrigerant. Upon further inspection found the contactor and capacitor on the outdoor were in great shape. Inspection on the indoor unit found no flood protection that is te standard, indoor coil very rusty and oil in the drain pan. The indoor blower wheel had lots of build up and causing the blower motor to pull high amps. This is a 2 zone system, upstairs and down stairs zones, no bypass damper for pressure relief. Also if repairs are made recommend changing compressor out due to the fact it was running with low refrigeration and could cause the compressor to fail when it’s running properly

Troubleshoot electrical issue. ISSUE: breakers tripped in both bedrooms a couple times LOCATION: master bedroom and bedroom on the other side of home FINDINGS: breakers were on when we arrived, we checked light switches and outlets, and then installed a brand new dual function breaker to test the circuits. RESOLUTION: it is possible that the arc fault breakers are failing due to being old/1st generation. Our solution is to change them out to the current generation dual function breakers, ensuring safety. If they trip again, it will be because something is wrong on the circuit and we need to come back and troubleshoot at $149 or something was plugged in that caused it to trip. With the new breakers being installed on the circuit it tells me that both circuits are at the safety standard of dual function arc fault/GFCI breakers. While on site, we changed out smoke detectors that were original to the home five in total. We are leaving a quote for surge protection and a quote to retrofit

Curtis had us out today to complete the home care for his system. Upon arrival we noticed that there is a Lennox heat pump system for 2017. Curtis wanted to get a few things done that he was given an estimate for back in January, including adding a wet switch and replacing a 12 inch duct run. We also checked the condition of the system. We did notice there is some biological growth on the inside of the system and the outdoor capacitor and contactor are failing. We recommend replacing all failing items. System is heating at time of departure.
