Initial visit

Last year I fired my old HVAC service company. Today's service visit was to determine if TE Certified is worthy of my business. Koi arrived timely (actually a bit early), was professional, efficient, and provided clear descriptions about what he was checking, what he found, and how long repairs and upgrades would take and what they would cost. This experience with Koi has encouraged me to pursue an ongoing business relationship with TE Certified.

Excellent service!

I was pleased with the service giving replacing our bathroom faucet. They were patient as I made a run to Home Depot to buy a new facet. They also did an inspection of our hot water heater and gave us some ideas of when to replace and estimates of options and cost. Very happy with the excellent customer service!

Very good Technician providing Excellent Service!

Not one who does a lot of reviews, I’m extremely impressed with the HVAC Technician Jason Braunstein, and the company that he works for, TE CERTIFIED! A review is warranted. I’ve been a long time customer of one of TE Certified competitors for years, but after today, that loyalty may have come to an end. Needing my winter checkup on my Lennox gas furnace but not yet hearing from so mentioned competitor, as I normally do. I decided to call them and see if they could come out for a service call, the date is 12/23/25 but they didn’t have an available appointment for service until 01/15/26! That was unacceptable! I had many HVAC companies to choose from but remembering a jingle from the radio “TE CERTIFIED WE LOVE YOUR HOME” and checking the company’s reviews, all very good. I decided on them and made the call, and I’m sure glad that I did! The receptionist was very courteous and very helpful, and scheduled me an appointment that very same day! The Technician, Jason Braunstein arrived as scheduled and provided excellent service. He was very nice, polite, and very knowledgeable of my Lennox gas furnace. He inspected the furnace thoroughly! He adjusted the heating system to give our home the proper warm air temperature that matched the thermostat reading. He gave me a complete breakdown and inspection evaluation of my system, along with pictures, sent to my email very soon after he left. I was very impressed with TE CERTIFIED and must say that based upon the expertise of their employees and how “They Loved My Home” :-) I will be calling them again! And, I hope to have Jason back as my homes personal technician. Thank you Jason, and thank you TE CERTIFIED for providing what you say you will do on your radio adds, love our homes! Worth getting a estimate

Kind of disappointed in the leak detection. I know it was a small leak and hard to find but, I had to pay y’all then get another company to find it . Your employee was great, but having to pay twice was not great.

Can't beat the service

After discovering our plumbing problem was a little more involved, Mr Mays had to come out to replace some of the drain from our laundry room. The plumbing is in our crawl space (unfortunately) but Mr Mays did the install as if it were inside the kitchen. He took pictures and sent me the work...which was perfect. Can't beat TE Certified and it truly is because of people like Mr Mays. Thank you!

Attempt to clear kitchen blockage Customer was experiencing a blockage in the kitchen sink. Upon arrival the dishwasher was holding water and I started testing the kitchen sink I ran water on the left side and I noticed it starting backing up on the right side. I tested the all the fixtures in the home to ensure they each had proper flow. I ran the cable inside the kitchen drain and after multiple attempts we brought back food debris/grease. I tested the kitchen sink by running water for a long period of time, and we were successful in restoring proper flow.

Troubleshoot electrical issue. ISSUE: kids rooms lost power LOCATION: kids rooms FINDINGS: devices are backstabbed and original to when the house built and starting to fail. RESOLUTION: Redevice the circuit at the minimum Left estimates and recommendations to bring the house up to code and make it safer. The current panel must be updated if homeowner is to redevice the whole house due to AFCI breakers that are required by the county, will not fit in current panel.

Service call, homeowner says unit is not heating or cooling properly. Thermostat wire is frayed. Capacitor is the wrong size 4 mfd currently reading 3.8 and the motor calls for 5 mfd. Blower wheel is extremely dirty. There is biological growth on the evaporator coil. Furnace is from 1997. Clean flame sensor. Unit continues to short cycle in heat mode. Furnace control board is not displaying any sort of fault codes. Evaporator/AC is from 2006/2007. I found loose wire going to the Herm side on the capacitor. Quoted low-voltage repair and homeowner approved. Found leaky Schrader core for the liquid line. Quoted Schrader core replacement. Homeowner approved. No warranty on repairs. Recommended replacement of the system due to its age. With significant buildup on the blower motor, and the fact that the capacitor is the wrong size. The unit most likely cannot move enough airflow and it’s shutting off on high limit. The furnace control board more than likely as faulty due to no display of err

Performed 1 system diagnostics: found that the outdoor unit was tripped on high pressure lockout. I checked the zoning. I replaced the air filter. I tested the emergency heat. I checked the blower motor and the capacitor and contactor on the outdoor unit. I found that the system is short on duct work and the bypass is too small. I also found biological growth on the indoor unit. I reset the system and ran it in AC mode (too hot to run in heat mode). I found that the system was reading low pressures probably due to it being low on air flow. The compressor is extremely loud and is near failure. I advised the homeowner about the biological growth, the system being low on duct work and the outside unit being impacted with dirt. With the homeowners permission I signed them up for the homecare and install a UV light to help prevent the biological growth from spreading. I removed some of the air handle insulation that had large amount of the biological growth on it and disposed of it. I coul

Performed two system HomeCare. Found drainline for upstairs to be poor condition and needing repair. Drain line has 3 traps, repaired two of three traps, the third trap near the termination point is inaccessible and would require several elbows and would make more resistance for the drain line. Came in today because costumer system was making loud humming noises while running the heat. When testing unit found that inducer motor was failing and was completely rusted making inducer extremely loud and over work. Also found biological growth spreading through the system. Let costumer know about this issues and presented options, including system upgrade considering the year of the unit. Costumer decided to move forward with repairs. Pop up assembly located on the right sink of the hall bath is broken. Removed and replaced, tested the sink after installation. Flapper for the basement toilet is leaking, removed and replaced. The toilet is now holding water and flushing properly. Tested with no leaks.
