Tech arrived to problem call for upstairs system. Three systems in home, upstairs system is of concern today. Other systems are not. Customer had error code saying that system heat strips were running for too long. This was dated during the cold weather on Monday. Checked EcoBee settings and settings had outdoor compressor turning off below 35 outdoor ambient which will only have heat strips operational. Turned setting down to roughly 20 degrees for compressor and left aux heat temp alone. Verified heat strips were operational. System lacks adequate water protection. No mechanical issues were detected inside. Filter was in good shape at this time. Checked outdoor unit operations. Refrigerant pressures in heating mode were within specs. Verified defrost was operational in test mode. No mechanical issues noticed on todays visit. Gathered all equipment info on all three systems.
