House had high voltage electrical issues which damaged the transformer for the zone board and the zone board. The homeowner had me replace the transformer but didn’t have the funds at the time to replace the zone board. I unhooked the zoning per customers request so the mainfloor thermostat controls the hvac system. The system needs updated flood protection, a new zone board and a bypass damper for it to run properly. I emailed estimates for repairs. The heating and cooling was operating via the mainfloor thermostat at the end of service call. NO WARRANTY on this call or repairs done here today. Customer declined full repair options today. I got them temporarily running.
For this job, I worked on digging under the meter and pulling up the extra slack to reconnect the neutral that was left short by the builder. also replaced a corroded lug that connected to the load side of the meter. Georgia Power came out to reconnect. We tested voltage, everything is working perfectly. Builder had left the neutral short. where when we showed up, it was not even connected. also one of the lugs was corroded along with loose connections everywhere in the meter. we retightened everything Homeowner was without power since Tuesday morning.
