Repaired toilet in master bathroom. Installed check valves, thermal expansion tank and reworked piping for two tankless units. Client has low water pressure at certain times. I found the main water service, roughly 350’-400’ from the meter is undersized at 3/4”. In addition the pool is filled with this line, and the irrigation is also tied onto the same line. Once entering the crawl space the water service runs approximately 120’ to a whole house filtration system then back to the other side. I will prepare an estimate for boring a new water service but will need to figure out the proper pipe sizing to accommodate and properly distribute water throughout the home. I did suggest client have the city install a second meter for the irrigation and for filling the pool. We also discussed rerouting the hot water recirculating line as we think the current one does not run to the opposite side of the home.
