Homeowner is having a new fridge installed. Installer said icemaker valve was leaking. When I arrived on scene I found that the icemaker valve was fairly new, it has a water hammer arrestor on it, and it is a quarter turn valve. After closer inspection, I found that the installer simply did not turn the valve off all the way, allowing water to come through. I closed the valve, and made sure it properly closed and is not leaking. I tested the water pressure and found that the pressure is at 45 PSI. I tested the expansion tank and found it was holding air and properly functioning. Homeowner had water heater replaced earlier this year.
