Customer had found out through an inspection that his water heater vent was terminated right in the chimney. Once we arrived and got a sense of their set up and what their expectations were I presented some options. The customer went with the power vent water heater. We installed the new power vent with new thermal expansion tank, new shut off valve, new pan, and the gas piping and valve. We ran 2inch schedule 40 solid core pvc for the vent. Terminated through the exterior wall and made sure termination met manufacturer specifications. We ran the condensation drain through vinyl tubing into the condensation pump in the room. Electrical was here and installed a new outlet near the water heater. We restored water and purged air from the lines. We then powered the unit on and set the burner to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
