Today I came out due to system making a loud noise. Upon arrival I spoke with Alex and he informed me the outdoor system was making a loud noise and he turned the system off to prevent any further damages. I turned the system on and the compressor sounded like marbles were rattling inside of it. I checked refrigerant pressures and the low side was extremely low and super heat was extremely high. System ran for about 15 minutes and compressor cutoff after reaching high temperature. The high side pressure were normal. When I went to the furnace, I heard a loud buzzing noise. There were 2 transformers and one of them was causing the buzzing noise. The second transformer was not needed because it was only being used to supply 24 volts to the zone board. I removed the bad transformer and hooked up the 24 volts needed to the control board. The evaporator coil is oversized for the unit and I believe this is what causes the compressor to fail.
