Customer has us out today due to his system having no power, TE electricians came out and stated that there was power going to the system, and referred HVAC technician from TE. Upon inspection, found ice Co. air handler on the indoor that had been replaced and a gas furnace that was previously there, the old indoor coil cabinet was still used as supply duct, this caused the system to have many air leaks that is not proper. Upon inspection of the system, found a bad transformer on air handler due to no fuse protection on system and what visually appear to be a bad outdoor thermostat wire, this wire has been spliced onto multiple times and had several different chew marks from what appeared to be animals. The outdoor unit is a straight AC, ox box by train that was manufactured in 2022. Upon full system inspection of the outdoor unit I found that the capacitor was bad reading below 5% of what factory recommendation. The outdoor contactor was in good condition and reading properly.
