Performed in-depth electrical troubleshooting for multiple non-functioning circuits in a residential property, including the basement living room, basement breakfast nook outlet, and upstairs kitchen island. Basement Living Room Issue: Traced the circuit fault to a severely damaged outdoor patio outlet. The outlet, box, and wiring were all melted and posed a potential safety hazard. Per customer request, the damaged outlet was safely disconnected and capped off without replacement. Breakfast Nook & Kitchen Island Issue: Identified improper and unsafe wiring feeding from the breakfast nook outlets to external structures (dog kennel and chicken coop). The deteriorating condition of these structures and the substandard wiring were the cause of the faults. At the homeowner’s request, power was disconnected at the junction box. Code Compliance Observation: Noted that the kitchen island outlets and two additional kitchen outlets were not GFCI-protected, as required by current electrical code
