Mr Bey’s home was struck by lightning. Multiple breakers were flipped into the tripped position and multiple appliances and electronics throughout the entire house were damaged and no longer working. I have to assume that lighting and a high amount of voltage travelled through the entire electrical system. When this occurs it is impossible to know the extent of the damage throughout the home and the integrity of all electrical devices and breakers in the electrical panel. Lightning produces a huge amount of voltage that causes loose connections on electrical devices. There is also no way of knowing if the breakers in the electrical panel still function like they are designed to do. Most common is that the breakers will no longer trip when they are supposed to which can lead to hazardous situations.
