We were called out due to water on the basement floor. This water was occurring during heavy rains yesterday. There was also an existing cut in the Sheetrock at the base of the wall that had already been opened prior to our arrival. We cut Sheetrock to inspect penetrations we found no signs of leaks from our penetration but noticed dampness around a pin old, no longer in use, pipe penetration. We resealed both old a new penetrations from the inside we then dug at the the exterior foundation and sealed old penetration from an old water service with hydro cement and roofing tar. We noticed that the gutters nearby are full and should be cleaned out to avoid water spillage in this area. There may be other leaks in the foundation unrelated to the pipe penetrations, but since it isn’t currently raining we did not observe any leaks from cracks or other openings in the foundation wall. We recommend leaving the Sheetrock open until after the next rain to ensure there are no further lea
