Homeowner was having a musty smell coming from the laundry room on hotter days. found the condensate line for the HVAC units drain into the washing machine box. found when large amounts of condensation are draining. It’s displacing the air in the pipe, causing a musty smell. Was able to clean the standpipe out a with the flex shaft machine as a courtesy. no smells were present at this time. homeowner also had a drippy faucet in the downstairs half bathroom on the cold side. gave a quote to repair as well as replace the faucet. Homeowner is going to wait until they do a bathroom remodel. found the hose bib on the left side of the home had a faulty vacuum breaker. replaced vacuum breaker and tested with no failures at this time.
