Client has us out today because he believes there is a leak on his gas space heater. Arrived on site and found a space heater hard piped into the gas system, the space heater is not code and we cannot touch it. However I did test all the gas connections and ensured there was no gas leaks on the closed gas system, there may be a leak on the heating appliance itself which we cannot tell. During my inspection I did uncover a leak on the expansion tank, made the client aware and today we went with replacing the expansion tank. New tank is mounted and pumped above the house pressure, water is back on with no leaks.
