GFCI outlet wouldn’t trip when we use the test funcion on multiple testers, we unmounted outlet from bell box and discovered wires were connected correctly to device, once testing continuity between ground and neutral it was non existent, meaning ground wire has failed or have been disconnected in a different location, upon further investigation we discovered that switches and outlets mounted to kitchen column look like they have been replaced recently, we decided to take apart connections there and discovered wires spliced behind boxes and all along the column, ground connections don’t have crimps or wire nuts to them.
