Homeowner had an arc at their master bath GFCI due to a hairdryer incident that burnt the outlets. The homeowner tried to replace the GFCI himself but there was no power on the circuit. During my troubleshoot I found that the breaker was tripped, but was hard to see that it was in the tripped position. Once I turned the breaker back on I found that the GFCI was wired backwards. I rewired the GFCI and tested everything. All the outlets in the master bath are now working properly.
