Called out because the gas company had shut off the gas at the home to do a gas line repair, and when they went to relight the water heater, they found that the flu vent was not connected to the top of the water heater. Reconnected the flu vent as a courtesy and relit the water heater. Gave homeowner multiple estimates for either replacement of the water heater, or to re-piping the water heater to meet code requirements.
