Tech arrived to problem call for downstairs system. Homeowners had moved in recently and had issue with downstairs cooling and then heating after some time. Inspected system. Thermostat is a heat pump thermostat that cannot be reconfigured. Wiring and system in crawlspace are for straight AC/furnace. Recommended thermostat replacement. Also noticed flue pipe for system is single wall until chase. Neither system in home are up to TE’s standard for flood protection. Brought recommendations to customer. Customer agreed to replace flue pipe, thermostat and add flood protection to systems. Changed out single wall flue pipe to double wall flue pipe for crawlspace and added wet switch. Changed our thermostat and explained thermostat operations to homeowner. Tech installed new wet switch and drain line safety for upstairs system, and verified operations. Downstairs system is straight AC/Furnace while upstairs system is dual. Both systems are operational at techs departure. Thank you for let
