Tech was out to do an inspection on system that is not cooling. While performing inspection on system, tech noticed the following on the furnace inducer is over amping. Igniter is the incorrect igniter for the system. Blower motor is over amping , capacitor is needing to be replaced. There is a gas leak at multiple pipe connections going to the gas valve. Atlanta gas came and shut off gas to furnace. Safety switches have been cut and jumper out for system to continue running. This is a fire hazard and should never be done on a furnace. There is reasons for high limit switches in furnace. On the return would need a Plenum and add 12 inch ductwork to attach to existing 12 inch to Plenum on new return. Drain pan would need to be replaced due to PVC coming out of it. PVC is not connected to anything so in the event that water accumulates in the drain pan. Water would go everywhere causing water damage. Switched to furnace would need to be changed from metal casing to plastic as of right no
