This inspection is due to storm damage and is required by the power company to have power returned if damage is minimal. While some damages may be repaired, this will not guarantee having power returned unless required repairs are made. After talking to the owner of the home and agreeing with the inspection over the phone signing online, I proceeded with inspecting the damages done to the property. Using a ladder I was able to get up to where the wire goes through the house and has ran along to the back to where most of the strain seemed to have been put during the incident. I found that the weatherhead was in complete disrepair in the point of attachment was destroyed. The wire is heavily corroded and rusted and in bad shape. I did not notice any of the wire broken or skinned past the cloth insulation, but this did expose the rubber insulation to the sun and weather. I opened the panel, which is a twist fuse style panel.
