Basement System, 19 year old Carrier Equipment - Not Heating System not heating due to multiple issues. The inducer draft assembly has worn and failed bearings in the motor. This is causing a loud noise and the inducer motor has not been reaching full rpm. The heat exchanger has several cracks, small holes, and rusted through in some areas. The igniter is weak and chalky, and the high limit switch is burnt up. The evaporator coil is rusted out on both sides as well. After going over the systems age and condition, the homeowner requested we send out our install supervisor this Friday afternoon to go over updating all 4 systems. The system that serves the area over the garage is 6 years old and has no immediate issues. This is a builder grade all electric system though. Thank you for choosing T.E. Certified, have a great day!
