During our visit, the customer mentioned that Atlanta gas light said there is a leak somewhere in the system. I completed a pressure test on the all the gas pipes in the house. I located a hole in the 3/4” gas line that goes up to the attic furnace from the basement. Drywall had to be removed to access the pipe. The pipe was repaired and another pressure test was done. The pressure test failed indicating another leak in the system. I was able to isolate the gas pipe that is leaking so the customer would have gas over the weekend. We will need to return to create access to the gas pipe that is leading up to the attic furnace. The first leak that was repaired was caused by the frozen/wet line set that is right up against the gas line. I advised the customer to have our hvac team come out to assess the issue with the line set. Atlanta gas light mentioned he found a gas leak in the down stairs furnace gas control valve.
