During our visit, the customer mentioned that the toilet in the basement was not flushing properly. Upon inspection, I noticed the ejector pit was full of water. I also noticed a humming sound coming from the pump. Considering the part number for the existing pump was on the plug wire, I was able to search the pump model. The previous “plumber” installed a sump pump designed only for water. I made the customer aware of this. Multiple quotes were provided and presented to the customer. An estimate was signed and approved for work to begin. A new Liberty 1/2 hp ejector pump was installed. A new lid and gasket kit was also added during the install. A quiet ball and check combo was installed on the discharge line as well. This install was tested for leaks and functionality after completion. The new pump was tested over twenty times.
