Elizabeth Hurk called us out here today because she has an issue with the shower in the upstairs hallway bathroom that they had recently remodeled. The shower valve that was installed is roughly 6 to 8 months old and hadn’t realized until recently as the colder temperatures are starting to set in that the hot water is not coming out to their liking. I opened up the shower valve and took a look at the setting of the scold guard where it was set at a lower hot water allowance temp. I set the hot water to full max that the skull guard protection allows me to put it at and now the hot water is coming out at 120°. Showed Elizabeth the hot water coming out and she is happy that she is now getting proper hot water to the shower.
