Troubleshoot electrical issue. ISSUE:no power to garage outlets LOCATION: garage, outside outlets FINDINGS: a lamp post light was recently installed in the front yard replacing an old lamp post light. There was a junction box over an outlet box with an outlet a line running to another junction box then underground feeding the lamp post light. The outlet was rusted out, and the boxes were not sealed so water was getting in both of them. The connections in the lamp post also had water in them. RESOLUTION: feed line to junction box uninstall photocell that no longer works. Make junctions and seal boxes, install box extender with new weather tight bubble cover with weather resistant outlet. We redid connections in lamppost and made sure that they were up in the post and not touching the ground. We were able to reset the GFI to restore power to these areas.
