Customer had a 9 year old 40 gallon electric water heater that was leaking from the compartment for the top element. This leak had caused damage to heater. Recommended replacement as the solution Installed 6 year warranty 50 gallon electric water heater. Had electrical department come out and install a new disconnect next to water heater. There was no disconnect present and it is required for a water heater in an area that is removed from the electrical panel. Turned water on, tested everything and cleaned up. While running water to purge air from plumbing system, noticed a leak coming from the shower valve in the back bathroom. Leak is coming from the valve. Recommend replacing old three handle style shower valve with a modern one. Provided customer with an estimate to replace shower valve.
