Customer believes he has a two year old water heater located in the finished basement. Upon inspection of the water heater, we discovered the serial number was scratched off, not allowing us to tell It’s true age. Upon inspection, we discovered that the bottom element has been fried out in the wire servicing that element has been destroyed. Water heater upper element still works. Highlyrecommend replacing the water heater with a new 50 gallon electric water heater.
