Responded to no heat call for natural gas furnace of indeterminate age. Inspection revealed broken ignition box and heat exchanger seal, creating potential for dangerous gas leakage. Additionally, observed significant corrosion throughout system, debris accumulation on burner tubes, and faulty transformer sending only 14V (insufficient for proper operation). Due to multiple critical safety issues and extensive deterioration, complete system replacement was performed rather than attempting repairs on the severely compromised unit.
